TOTAL AND ANNULAR ECLIPSES IN CLOSE SUCCESSION : BOOK

BOOK VERSION

All astronomers know that the eclipses of the Sun are quite rare events and especially that occur in relatively restricted areas of the Earth. It can then seem almost impossible that in a place we can observe two annular or total eclipse of the Sun in less than a year. Yet in this book I will show that this phenomenon is more common than you think. Even without having to wait for ages you can see three eclipses. Then there are particularly fortunate places that in a couple of decades can see four or more eclipses, but these are very rare. For each event I provided a great map and the conditions of observability, degree by degree of longitude along the path of totality or annularity.
