A constellation of Hevelius; it was introduced in the work Prodromus Astronomiae of 1680.
The Sextans Uraniae, this its complete name, was an instrument diffusing between the sailors,
that allowed they to know the height of a star on the horizon, rendering possible the
measurement of the angular distance between a known place and any other point of the earth.
