MYTHOLOGY
The altar is tied up to the theme of the sacredness of the binds, both of those taken by the men towards the divinities, and of the pacts of alliance stipulated among the numis themselves. To this small whole of stars they are in partnership two myths, one that connects it to the near constellations of the centaur and the wolf and the other that it has instead to do with the epic battle between Olympic divinity and titaniums. This altar is the center of a ritual scene that see a centaur in the action to offer a wolf to one some divinities wooded. The other anecdote of which we have testimonies is one of the epic moments of the initial phase of the kingdom of Zeus on the universe and, precisely, the struggle that owed sustain the olimpis against the titaniums to be able to affirm their supremacy. According to the legend, before beginning to wage war, the gods gathered themselves around an altar and they solemnly promised that they would not be pulled back; the clash resolved him to them favor thanks to the intervention of the three "centobraccia", Gia, Cotto and Briareo, while the titaniums were exiled in the tartar behind a colossal bronze portal.
